Day 1: Windhoek to Namibgrens, NamibiaOn day 1 of your safari in Namibia you will be accommodated at a tented camp on the border of the Namib in Naukluft Park. This is considered to be one of the oldest deserts in the world and is a major tourist attraction. A sort distance away you will find Sossusvlei, an area surrounded by a dramatic sea of sand dunes, reputed to be the biggest in the world. Lunch and dinner is included. |
Day 2: Namibgrens to Sesriem, NamibiaAt sunrise on day 2 of your safari in Namibia, you will travel to the vast sand dunes of the Namib Desert. You will visit the Namibian wildlife resort of Sesriem. This will be your base for the night and gives you the opportunity to explore the endless horizons of the Namib. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included. |
Day 3: Sesriem to Naukluft Park, NamibiaOn day 3 of your safari in Namibia, you will explore the Sossosvlei area with its vast dunes, some over 300 metres high. After your day of exploration you will head north to a bush camp in Namib-Naukluft Park. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included. |
Day 4: Swakopmund, NamibiaOn day 4 of your safari in Namibia, you will travel to Swakopmund. Swakopmund has several excellent restaurants, bars and coffee shops, as well as many arts and crafts shops selling Namibian rural art. The fine beaches along the walkways take you to museums, an aquarium and many galleries. Breakfast is included. |
Days 5 & 6: Damaraland, NamibiaToday your safari in Namibia will continue to the north of Namibia to Damaraland. Here you will encounter the fascinating Damaraland people, as well as amazing rock art galleries. The next 2 days will be spent meeting the Damaraland people, admiring the natural rock art galleries and searching for the elusive desert Elephant of this region. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is included. |
Days 7-9: Etosha National Park, NamibiaEtosha National Park is the largest national park in Namibia and offers a wide variety of game viewing and game driving opportunities. This is an educational visit where most of your time will be spent on game drives admiring and learning about the wildlife of Namibia and Etosha National Park. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included. |
Day 10: Bushmanland, NamibiaYour safari in Namibia will depart to Bushmanland for an overnight visit to a traditional bushman village. This is indeed a memorable and culturally rich experience. The San people of Namibia live in these local villages and you will get an opportunity to exchange thoughts with a Bushmen. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included. |
Days 11-13: Okavango Delta, BotswanaYour safari in Botswana trail will lead you to the majestic Okavango River. The waterways of the Delta are full of wildlife and natural beauty. Your trail will lead you to the dugout canoe (mokoro) of the local Barakwena and Hambakushu of this area. For the next few days you will travel on foot and in a dugout canoe along with a houseboat experience to explore the many waterways and eco systems of the Okavango. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included. |
Day 14: Maun, BotswanaThe southern most tip of the Okavango Delta will be your final destination on your safari in Bitswana before departing or extending to a lodge in the Moremi Game Reserve. Breakfast and lunch is included. |
