What can you expect from this 6 Day Moremi Special Safari tour: On this week long 6 Day Moremi Special Safari tour in Botswana you can enjoy the game drives and spotting the variety of animals, seeing traditional African villages, enjoy a boat trips, birdwatching, and relaxing around a camp fire sharing the highlights of this trip.

Day 1: Maun

You join the group at Maun International Airport, and we travel to the lodge in Maun, where you can unpack, shower and relax. In the afternoon an optional game flight offers you an aerial view of the Okavango Delta. Dinner will be enjoyed at the Maun Lodge Restaurant.

Day 2: En route Moremi Wildlife Reserve, Xaxanaka, Botswana

You will make an early start on your 5 day Moremi Special safari tour and drive through traditional villages before entering the South Gate into Moremi Wildlife Reserve. You will see game en-route to this reserve. Your game drives take you on a scenic road through Moremi to Xaxanaka Lagoons. You will be shown to your tents and have time to take a refreshing shower before dinner is served in dining tent. Overnight Xaxanaka.

Day 3: Moremi, Xaxanaka, Botswana

Early morning game drive through Moremi with its magnificent scenery in search of the numbers of wildlife resident in this area. Return to camp at about 11am for delicious brunch and then you have time to relax. An afternoon boating excursion on the Xaxanaka Lagoons takes you down the papyrus fringed channels of the eastern Delta which are prolific in bird life. Overnight Xaxanaka.

Day 4: Khwai, Botswana

Having had breakfast you will leave Xaxanaka and continue your Moremi Special Safari tour on an interesting riverine route through Moremi to arrive and set up camp within sight of the Khwai River at Moremi's North Gate. Overnight in Khwai.

Day 5: Khwai, Botswana

Early morning and afternoon game drives exploring the Khwai River area should reveal a large variety of game. You will have leisure time to relax in camp during the day before spending your last evening of your 5 day Moremi Special Safari tour around the campfire. Overnight Khwai.

Day 6: Maun - Tour ends

After a leisurely breakfast it is time to pack up and slowly make your way back towards Maun. This is your last chance on your 5 day Moremi Special Safari tour to spot those animals that might have avoided you so far. Lunch stop en route. You should arrive in Maun early afternoon in time for your flight connection.

Buffalo
The Buffalo grazes up to 10 hours a day in order to retain its strong physical condition. Buffaloes will feed in the early morning, late evening and during the night to avoid overheating.

Zebras
Zebra can be found in open woodland, scrub and grassland They are dependent on water and will not move much more than distances of 12 kilometres away from it.

Cheetahs
The Cheetah hunts smaller to medium-sized antelope such as Impala, Steenbok, Springbok, common Duiker and also other smaller mammals such as Hares and ground birds. At times Cheetah males will work together to hunt down larger buck like Wildebeest.
